Unfortunately, I couldn't get to finish the left passenger elevator and to construct the right passenger elevator due to the piano lesson. That means, the left one is now 99% complete. All what I still need to do - is changing the button textures.

5 doors have been added to 5 offices (Haha). Shortly after the screenshots were taken, the second door was moved a little bit to the left (on purpose ofc). Also, I wanted to show you that the elevator buttons in the left passenger elevator have been changed to add realism.

The Piles Centre
The glass elevator shaft in H&M store was widen a bit to make room for the counterweight (it's no longer meeting the chassis when the elevator is on the 1st basement/ground floor, because it didn't make sense).

The day before yesterday, the
metaldoor2.jpg
file inside the
LF
folder was improved to include a long black line on the very right side of the
.jpg
file. See this screenshot:

My next job will be changing the textures inside the H&M store (floors, ceiling and walls) - this makes the store look more completly realistic. Then I will add the elevator machineries for all elevators.
I'm thinking about replacing the door textures with
metaldoor3.jpg
(glass doors:
metaldoor3_glass.png
), since the current textures look older. One day later after the last documented update, 10/07/2025, the elevator shaft in TK Maxx was widen a little to give room for the newly added chassis. Not only the elevator in TK Maxx, but also the main elevator connecting the mall floors.

Today, the mirror inside the main elevator was commented out (removed). Then, a bug in the main elevator shaft was fixed where the walls which are not belonging to the shaft were in the shaft. The next update, last update of this build, was adding all elevator machineries (except the freight elevators).

Build 6.1 released (for users who downloaded Build 6 before this time) (17/07/2025)
A new build was released (Not really, it's just containing the updated Simple - Realistic Top Box building and the missing textures from the Schmitt+Sohn folder). Lured said that he is missing the Schmitt+Sohn buttons, that's why I decided to release a Build 6.1. Remember to remove the
DirectionInd.png
file from
data/Schmitt+Sohn/Modern
because an identical file already exists under the name
DirectionInd_Up.png
. For users who downloaded Build 6 just after I posted this, no need to download Build 6.1 because the missing textures were added, and the Simple - Realistic Top Box building and the changelog were updated. That's why there's only a patch version available.
Updates on Simple - Realistic Top Box:

It will be nice to see some of my stuff being used in your places. I'm guessing that you are using my "M10_Elev..." functions to easily create elevators of different sizes, or possibly installing my exit signs there. Regardless of your choice, your buildings will look good with the different content being used there.
Being someone who make my own buildings*, I don't know if I will be able to check out your creations or not, as I would, in the simulator, mostly spend time on editing and checking my creations. However, I can say that your buildings are a good start, according to what I've taken a look from your and Elevator1512's YT channels. I hope your buildings will get better and better in the future.
*Most users who create their own buildings may not always check out other people's stuff, just like what EG881 said in the old forum: "I don't have much in my buildings folder, because I cannot keep track of everybody's projects..." MelvinMan10 (talk) 10:11, 14 March 2024 (CDT)Reply

We choosed a better hotel, the Scandic Hotel Ku'damm, and I cancelled the B&B Hotel building. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 07:05, 9 July 2024 (CDT)Reply

A suggestion[edit source]

I feel like it would be more clear if you put the color on the building name itself instead of the asterisk. The asterisks are good, but it may be hard to see depending on who's viewing from what device. Elevator1512 (talk) 10:36, 7 July 2024 (CDT)Reply

Ok, thanks for your suggestion. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 10:37, 7 July 2024 (CDT)Reply
They are very easy to see in my laptop.
Done! But I was only putting the color on the first building names. I will fix it likely later. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 10:37, 7 July 2024 (CDT)Reply

To everyone who downloaded the latest release before today[edit source]

Some missing textures have finally been added into the latest release. Please remember to re-download it!

If you have downloaded that just now, you don't need to redownload the latest release because it's already included there. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 06:29, 2 February 2025 (CST)Reply

Important announcement[edit source]

I will do a one-week hiatus because I will be very busy practicing for the French learning control and other commitments every day. I'm sorry, but my integration project will be on-hold until probably February 11, 2025. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 09:50, 6 February 2025 (CST)Reply

I'm feeling a bit down[edit source]

Unfortunately, I'm sorry to say, but I'm going to delay my work on Skyscraperville High Street for probably one week. This is because I'm not feeling all that great right now. Afterwards, I will resume work on this IP. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 08:07, 18 February 2025 (CST)Reply

Update: 30/04/2025[edit source]

A new staircase has been built serving the platform level (-2) with the concourse level (-1) in the High Street.

Soon, I hope to have a good start on Lighthouse Cruise Center. Lighthouse Cruise Center will be a 2-floor ferry terminal located in Skyscraperville too, with an 8-floor telecommunications tower nearby. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 12:42, 30 April 2025 (CDT)Reply

Nice and interesting stuff. Will there be an elevator in the telecommunications tower? Elevator1512 (talk) 13:45, 30 April 2025 (CDT)Reply
Yes, there will be a classic elevator in the telecommunications tower. I will be inactive right now, bye! Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 15:00, 30 April 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 02/05/2025[edit source]

Construction has been started on Lighthouse Cruise Center, but yet without the telecommunications tower. What I wanted to say is that a Stahl goods lift was added into the ferry terminal. It serves K (-1) (Storage and Boiler Room), 0 (Arrivals), 1 (Departures) and 2 (Observatory and Offices). Note there is a rear door and it opens on the 1st floor.

See this weird elevator door? Next, I hope to install a second track into the High Street.
I wanted to tell y'all too that the ferry terminal has planned to have 6 Stahl elevators (4 goods lifts and 2 passenger lifts; 1 already built, y'know that), additionally a classic Otis elevator in the telecommunications tower. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 11:06, 2 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

This type of elevator door has never seen before on Skyscraper.

Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 11:07, 2 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 03/05/2025[edit source]

In an unexpected turn of events, focus has been stayed on Lighthouse Cruise Center. 3 more goods lifts have been installed there, that means, all goods lifts have been installed. The left lift in the left of the picture is the goods lift that was already built yesterday.

All goods lifts look exactly the same, but they serve different floors: I already said which floors the left lift on the back serve. The right lift on the back serves K, 0 and 1, the right lift on the front serves K, 0 and 2 and the left lift on the front only serves K and 0.

Soon, I hope to build a second track into the High Street. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 13:07, 3 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 04/05/2025[edit source]

A second track has finally been installed into the High Street Subway Station.

Next, I hope finish installing the elevator there.

To-Do List before releasing Build 6:
1) Finish installing the elevator in the High Street Subway Station
2) Finishing the Cruise Center structure while installing passenger elevators and building the telecommunications tower there
3) Expanding the Thalia building and improving the Fielmann store in the High Street
4) Finishing The Piles Centre Phase III

I'm still reluctant to announce the next build release date but it might come sometime this summer. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 06:38, 4 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

Bonus special[edit source]

I had been meaning to show these pictures yesterday when the four Stahl goods lifts were built (Actually, the pictures were made today):

Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 10:30, 4 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 05/05/2025[edit source]

The elevator at the subway station in High Street is now 95% complete, all what I still need to do is an empty room above the ground floor so that lift inspectors can inspect the lift until the lift is on the ground floor (and of course the cartop chassis).

Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 08:59, 5 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

Just something to tell you[edit source]

You may have noticed that the rear door (Thalia lift) not only opens on the ground floor, but also opens on the basement floor. Originally, a delivery ramp near that lift was planned, but now I decided that the Thalia bookstore will have a Haushahn goods lift in the south side of the building. I also decided that the rear door inside the existing Thalia lift will still open on the basement, but that will be used for another purpose. My intention is that this lift would be useful for the underground passage when the glass Otis GeN2 lift go out of service. It means this lift will be the second lift for the underground passage. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 12:36, 5 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

Important announcement[edit source]

I will be inactive during 18 o'clock (CEST) because I will be busy with exercises for the politics learning control. This sadly means that my IP will be on hold for a few days. Sorry for the inconvenience, but the next update will be probably on Thursday. My next job for the IP is make the Otis GeN2 lift in the High Street 100% complete. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 10:59, 6 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

No title[edit source]

Originally, I wanted to post the new update today, but these unforeseen circumstances impeded my progress once again. Still, I worked on the Otis GeN2 elevator in High Street, this means, it is now 98% complete (but not the chassis). I can't show you the picture as it's evening for me and I've turned off my computer. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 13:13, 11 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 12/05/2025[edit source]

Hello, I didn't mean to leave a gap for a few more days! Unfortunately, those unforeseen circumstances yesterday impeded my progress once again, this sadly means the Otis GeN2 elevator in High Street is still not 100% complete, that means it is now 98% complete. All I still need to do - is the chassis!

After the chassis work, I hope to continue work on Lighthouse Cruise Center. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 09:08, 12 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 12/05/2025 - evening[edit source]

The chassis on the cartop of the Otis GeN2 elevator in High Street has been finally built! This means, this elevator is now 100% complete! I will record and post a video of this elevator soon if anyone is interested in.

I also wanted to tell you that the chassis feature has been added to RealisticTopBox2024. Next, as said before, I will continue work on Lighthouse Cruise Center. The release will come on or before June 20, 2025. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 12:56, 12 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

YouTube video[edit source]

So, now I've posted a YouTube video about the Otis GeN2 elevator in the High Street. Here's the link to watch video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgv11UcEw-A Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 12:19, 13 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 16/05/2025[edit source]

Three improvements were made to the Thalia building in Skyscraperville High Street. Here is the list of improvements:

- Elevator has now a chassis
- Elevator shaft is now visible from outside
- Elevator shaft was widen a little to give room for the counterweight (that means, you can no longer see the counterweight inside the elevator)

My next job will be adding the passenger elevators into Lighthouse Cruise Center. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 12:35, 16 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 17/05/2025[edit source]

Some more improvements were added to the Thalia building in Skyscraperville High Street. Here is the list:

- Elevator door tracks added
- Carpet changed
- Elevator rear external walls changed to metal (ground floor only)

As said before, my next job will be adding the passenger elevators into Lighthouse Cruise Center. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 13:20, 17 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 18/05/2025[edit source]

Unfortunately, for the third time, some unforeseen circumstances impeded my progress again, this sadly means I haven't added the passenger elevators to Lighthouse Cruise Center yet. Instead, call buttons has been added to goods lifts. Here is a screenshot.

Hopefully I will be adding the passenger elevators there tomorrow. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 12:56, 18 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

I'll have to contact eventhorizon about this, there have been issues with uploads before. Elevator1512 (talk) 21:46, 18 May 2025 (CDT)Reply
Try adding those image links back in, eventhorizon has since fixed this. I'll even upload a couple of test files tomorrow otherwise. Elevator1512 (talk) 22:59, 18 May 2025 (CDT)Reply
It's working fine now! Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 07:12, 19 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

Lighthouse Cruise Center - Passenger Lifts[edit source]

So, I want to tell you something... The left lift will be modernized with DMG buttons and NewLift chime, while the right lift almost stays original (except the shaft doors in the basement) so that y'all can see how the lifts looked like before it was modernized. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 12:14, 21 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 21/05/2025[edit source]

Progress has been started inside the left passenger elevator in Lighthouse Cruise Center. Now, I can say that it is 50% complete, because the buttons and the indicator aren't there yet.

Tomorrow, I will finish the left passenger elevator and have a start on the right passenger elevator, which is original.

Bonus: I had been meaning to show this 2 days ago, when the Otis elevator in High Street had the chassis changed to make this more realistic.

Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 14:27, 21 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 22/05/2025[edit source]

The left passenger elevator in Lighthouse Cruise Center is now 90% complete, all what I still need to do is changing the buttons for realism, but I will do that after the building internal work.

My next job for tomorrow will be progressing the right passenger elevator, which is almost original.

About RealisticTopBox2024 (Chassis function): One more value (4 = 135 degree) in the direction parameter and one additional parameter (height) have been added. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 12:52, 22 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 23/05/2025[edit source]

Unfortunately, I couldn't get to finish the left passenger elevator and to construct the right passenger elevator due to the piano lesson. That means, the left one is now 99% complete. All what I still need to do - is changing the button textures.

My next job for tomorrow, as I said, will be constructing the right passenger elevator, which is almost original. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 13:10, 23 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 24/05/2025[edit source]

Both passenger elevators in Lighthouse Cruise Center have been 100% completed (except the outside indicator for the left one). I'm super proud of how these elevators turned out.

My next job for tomorrow will be adding the outside indicator for the left passenger elevator and 2nd floor interior work.

Off-Topic: My website has reached 1.000 views! But the bad news is that The LE Portfolio wouldn't be publicly updated anymore. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 12:21, 24 May 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 02/06/2025[edit source]

Restroom doors have been added to Lighthouse Cruise Center, but the restrooms still have the office carpet.

My next job will be adding the offices and the stairwells.
Bonus: The elevator lobby doors have been added a few days ago. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 13:10, 2 June 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 06/06/2025[edit source]

Lighthouse Cruise Center

I wanted to add the offices and the stairwells today but I couldn't do that due to an unexpected event that impeded my progress again. Bonus: I had been meaning to show this ca. 3 days ago when the carpet has been changed inside the restrooms.

As said before, my next job in the next days will be adding the offices and the stairwells. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 13:01, 6 June 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 19/06/2025[edit source]

The Piles Centre Phase III

Chassis have been recently added to 4 elevators - they're now in 2 Müller elevators and in 2 H&M elevators.

As said before, my next job will be adding the offices and the stairwells in Lighthouse Cruise Center. Please note that there may be fewer updates next week due to scheduling. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 09:30, 19 June 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 21/06/2025[edit source]

Lighthouse Cruise Center

5 doors have been added to 5 offices (Haha). Shortly after the screenshots were taken, the second door was moved a little bit to the left (on purpose ofc). Also, I wanted to show you that the elevator buttons in the left passenger elevator have been changed to add realism.

The next job tomorrow, before being less active next week, will be adding the staircases - and maybe adding storage spaces with the freight elevator to the Thalia building in High Street. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 13:07, 21 June 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 22/06/2025[edit source]

Lighthouse Cruise Center

Actually, two stairwells were planned for the building, but I only added one stairwell because there was no more time today. I will post the second screenshot on Friday, so only one screenshot has been posted.

Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 12:58, 22 June 2025 (CDT)Reply

Second Screenshot from 22/06/2025[edit source]

As I promised on Sunday that the second screenhot will be posted today, as I was inactive in the last days, here it is:

Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 11:41, 27 June 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 29/06/2025[edit source]

Lighthouse Cruise Center

Two stairwells have been finally added - the right stairwell in the first screenshot is now complete. While the right stairwell only serves the basement, ground, first floor and the second floor, the left stairwell serves all floors.

View of both stairwells from outside.

View of the left stairwell from inside, way down.

Another view from the left stairwell, yet behind a service door - the way to the rooftop.

My next job will be quickly adding cores to the structure - and adding the goods lift into the Thalia bookstore in High Street. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 13:11, 29 June 2025 (CDT)Reply

Its preety good to see you make now fully hand coded buildings
wondering if you are gonna make something big Joao84704 (talk) 21:42, 29 June 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 30/06/2025 - Last update of June[edit source]

Lighthouse Cruise Center

The height of the second floor is now increased from 10 ft. to 11.5 ft. to make place for the elevators' inspection boxes. After that, cores were added around to support the structure.

My next job for the next months will be:

 1. Adding storage areas and goods lift to Thalia bookstore at the High Street
 2. Finishing The Piles Centre Phase III

I assume the build what I'm working on, Build 6, will be released around July or August, it is not yet precise. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 13:38, 30 June 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 01/07/2025 - First update of July[edit source]

Skyscraperville High Street Phase II
Thalia bookstore

An empty storage area was added, including the goods lift. The goods lift is similar to the passenger lift near the entrance, the only differences are that it serves the sale floors only - and it has a bigger cab.

View of the goods lift inside the storage area.

View of the storage area from outside (in this screenshot, you can also see the escalators).

My next job will be finishing The Piles Centre Phase III. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 13:31, 1 July 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 07/07/2025[edit source]

The Piles Centre

The glass elevator shaft in H&M store was widen a bit to make room for the counterweight (it's no longer meeting the chassis when the elevator is on the 1st basement/ground floor, because it didn't make sense).

The day before yesterday, the metaldoor2.jpg file inside the LF folder was improved to include a long black line on the very right side of the .jpg file. See this screenshot:

My next job will be changing the textures inside the H&M store (floors, ceiling and walls) - this makes the store look more completly realistic. Then I will add the elevator machineries for all elevators. I'm thinking about replacing the door textures with metaldoor3.jpg (glass doors: metaldoor3_glass.png), since the current textures look older. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 12:47, 7 July 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 09/07/2025[edit source]

The Piles Centre

At first (two days ago), I replaced the elevator door textures with metaldoor3.jpg (glass doors: metaldoor3_glass.png). Then, today, the goods lifts without inner doors had it's drive changed from traction to hydraulic - the guide rails and counterweight have been removed.

As I said, my next job will be changing the textures inside the H&M store (floors, ceiling and walls) - this makes the store look more completly realistic. Then I will add the elevator machineries for all elevators.

Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 13:17, 9 July 2025 (CDT)Reply

Update: 15/07/2025[edit source]

The Piles Centre

One day later after the last documented update, 10/07/2025, the elevator shaft in TK Maxx was widen a little to give room for the newly added chassis. Not only the elevator in TK Maxx, but also the main elevator connecting the mall floors.

Today, the mirror inside the main elevator was commented out (removed). Then, a bug in the main elevator shaft was fixed where the walls which are not belonging to the shaft were in the shaft. The next update, last update of this build, was adding all elevator machineries (except the freight elevators).

If you're wondering why the To-Do List for this building (Phase III) was changed a little because I wanted to release Build 6 quickly (It will be released either today or tomorrow), but we'll see. Comment below if y'all look forward to download Build 6. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 12:44, 15 July 2025 (CDT)Reply

Build 6.1 released (for users who downloaded Build 6 before this time) (17/07/2025)[edit source]

A new build was released (Not really, it's just containing the updated Simple - Realistic Top Box building and the missing textures from the Schmitt+Sohn folder). Lured said that he is missing the Schmitt+Sohn buttons, that's why I decided to release a Build 6.1. Remember to remove the DirectionInd.png file from data/Schmitt+Sohn/Modern because an identical file already exists under the name DirectionInd_Up.png. For users who downloaded Build 6 just after I posted this, no need to download Build 6.1 because the missing textures were added, and the Simple - Realistic Top Box building and the changelog were updated. That's why there's only a patch version available.

Updates on Simple - Realistic Top Box:

- Inspection box positioned to the middle of the elevator

- Chassis added

Additional updates:

- Some missing textures from data/Schmitt+Sohn/Modern added

- Updated changelog
