Skyscraper Wiki:Policy
To improve the quality of the wiki, I have decided to follow Jenn and create some rules on the wiki to improve standards on how pages and discussions are handled.
- No spamming pages! This includes advertisement links to external sites.
- No low-effort edits that decrease the quality of a page. I want the wiki to be as good quality while having as many buildings represented here as possible.
- Do not bother content creators about release dates! Once they decide that their content is ready for release will said content be released and available.
- This is not the place to complain about your account being banned / deleted from the Skyscrapersim forum! (Especially if you are under 18 when you had the account)
- No repetitive questions! When you get an answer you don't like from someone, please don't spam the same question over and over! It will most likely upset said someone.
- Only one account is needed. Subsequent accounts (including accounts designed to impersonate other users) will be blocked indefinitely. (with the main account being blocked for a short time)
- Username must not represent a real-life company or business brand. They also need to be appropriate and SFW (Safe For Work).
- There is a restriction on editing pages for IP addresses and newly-registered users due to spam. Visit Skyscraper Wiki:7/20 for more information.
- Do not insult other users! Multiple violations of this may result in a temporary or indefinite block.
- No impersonating existing users. (example: real user is Lighthouse Friesland; impostor is Lighthouse FriesIand - lowercase L substituted for uppercase I)
- Do not directly copy from the old wiki onto here. It is better to write everything in our own words.
- Use gender neutral language on articles (no using he/him/his to refer to unknown gender).
More rules will be added if needed.
