Talk:List of tallest buildings made in Skyscraper
Measurements
We need measurements and floor counts Jenn (talk) 15:05, 19 February 2024 (CST)
- So for measurements it could either be from the topmost floor or where the pinnacle is. (like Triton Center's penthouse roof for example) Elevator1512 (talk) 16:28, 19 February 2024 (CST)
- I think you should count on the topmost floor since every tower has different ciling heights (mostly). Also also add meters for the height so everyone can understand. Joao84704 (talk) 20:29, 19 February 2024 (CST)
- Are we putting a separate section for discontinued / inactive buildings like Atlantis Towers V1 and V2? Elevator1512 (talk) 22:16, 19 February 2024 (CST)
- I'm not even sure what to classify those as. They don't have elevator and/or stairwell access to every floor. Jenn (talk) 23:01, 19 February 2024 (CST)
- I just created an unsorted / discontinued buildings page for buildings without proper access to every floor. Elevator1512 (talk) 08:02, 20 February 2024 (CST)

Sumosoftinc Buildings
I found a bunch of tall sumosoftinc buildings (9 buildings as of this writing) and am not sure where to put them. They're all currently in the unsorted category in case I do later add them to the active / completed table section. Elevator1512 (talk) 09:30, 22 February 2024 (CST)
- The Sumo Towers are just a larger simple variant Jenn (talk) 12:55, 23 February 2024 (CST)
- Understood now, I'll remove the Sumo Towers (I only put II and III because IV and V did not have all floors accessible Elevator1512 (talk) 16:32, 23 February 2024 (CST)
More clarification
This least pretty much doesn't make a lot on sense. To be on the "Active" list you need to have a building with access to all floors with elevators and/or stairwells. If this is right, should I put Graph Tower in it? Since all floors are accessed by a stairwell. But this would also mean i would need to put the Spire building at the other list since a lot of the upper floors aren't accessed by any elevator and it doesn't have any stairwells. Joao84704 (talk) 18:19, 23 February 2024 (CST)
- I wasn't sure what do with Graph Tower because of its elevators being incomplete. There is a single stairwell serving all floors of that particular tower, though. What you're saying is that a building needs to have all its floors accessible by either elevator or stairwell in order to qualify for the active table. So even buildings that don't have any stairwells in it (like those designed with Beno Building Creator) can be put there as long as either a majority or all of its floors can be accessed by elevator. So it seems like buildings such as Excelsior Tower and Excelsior II would qualify for the active list even though most of it's taken up by mechanical space. - Build 20 of Triton Center III (V2) has accessibility for floors 164 to R. I'm not sure why EG881 removed that elevator in later versions. Jenn (talk) 21:48, 24 February 2024 (CST)
- think it was a big redesign of the upper levels he was working on Fennz (talk) 23:54, 24 February 2024 (CST)

- What about buildings created with Beno Building Creator's random creator? Sure that tool no longer exists in its current form, but I found lots of potential buildings (circa 2010-2020) that would qualify as there is an elevator serving the majority of its floors even though there are no stairwells in any of the buildings. Bugged NCSM Buildings
So the latest addition to the list (Ctv - NCSM Bugged Building) has elevators serving all floors but a bug with Skyscrapersim Building Creator Reloaded caused some of the elevator shaft doors to not show up at all on some floors. Technically the elevators serve all floors, therefore the building qualified to be put on the list. I put the building in the unsorted section until I get more clarity on how we treat bugged out buildings that are meant to have all floors accessible but aren't because of a bug in elevator door code. Underground
The Underground building might qualify even though most of its floors are underground (like the lowest point being -149,912.25 ft / 45,693.18 m underground) and the lowest floor accessible by elevator is -49,912.25 ft / 15,213.25 m. On the other hand, most of the underground floors aren't accessible (only floors -500, -400, -300, -200, -100, and -10 to -1 are served by elevators) which would prevent this building from making the list based upon current criteria. Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet of tallest buildings
As I found on the old wiki, it had a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet of tallest buildings.
Idk why it's set to private. Here is the link: http://www.mediafire.com/download/006gzu2e9ne4f4u/skyscrapers1.xlsx Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 13:23, 8 June 2024 (CDT)
- The old wiki did allow several extra file formats (mainly .pdf, as well as some others), though the current one doesn't. Elevator1512 (talk) 13:42, 8 June 2024 (CDT)
- Do you still have that spreadsheet? If yes, upload it here. Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 13:43, 8 June 2024 (CDT)
- Yes, I have it on my F drive. Also I'll have to convert it to a png as pdf isn't currently a supported upload format here. Elevator1512 (talk) 13:47, 8 June 2024 (CDT)
- I don't have it, sorry... Reason: I'm part of the skyscrapersim community since 2022 or so Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 13:49, 8 June 2024 (CDT)
- Once I convert the spreadsheet to .png then I'll upload it here (with credit to the original owner of the spreadsheet) Elevator1512 (talk) 13:50, 8 June 2024 (CDT)
- Who was the owner of the spreadsheet? Lighthouse Friesland (talk) 13:51, 8 June 2024 (CDT)
- All I found was "Admin" for the author. I'll have to say something like "all credit goes to the original owner of this spreadsheet" as I'm not sure who originally made it. Elevator1512 (talk) 13:53, 8 June 2024 (CDT)
