m I recently added external floor indicators back to ABH's bridge elevators, for consistency with MBW.

You may have noticed that in certain buildings, outside floor indicators are present only for the service/freight elevators. I removed such indicators from those places' passenger elevators because in some copies of the simulator from early 2018, external floor indicator disappeared (I remember experiencing this bug when I was working on Marketing Square in April 2018). However, because this issue was fixed in a different copy of the sim, the indicators were added (as usual) to the newer buildings since then.

Anyways, some buildings (<abbr title="Excluding">excl.</abbr> mods) still lack such indicators on at least one floor (apart from one or more service elevators, if present), so <u>let me share the reason why</u>:
Reasons why I moved the links here
#Transnational Office Plaza: This building is simulated to be built during the time when external indicators weren't greatly used in real elevators (at least I still leave the parking elevators' external indicators intact).
#Marriott Marquis Interchange City: Intended to be like certain EPL Kone elevators in real world.
#Marketing Square: Intended to be like some older Hitachi elevators in real life, which lacked external indicators.
#Skyscraper School (V3) (Matrix Building): Intended to be like the real school building which also has outside indicators only for Elevator 7.
#Apex Beach Hotel (Parking Garage): Intended to be like a real-life mall with the same Mitsubishi fixtures, which also has outside indicators only for the service elevators, and only the lanterns for the passenger ones.

However, because I recently added destination dispatch to Skydream Tower and Simulation Tower, external indicators will not be added to the DD elevators, mocking the appearance of such thing IRL. Additionally, I also recently recently instated such indicators to the passenger elevators in all three buildings in Tennerland Complex, which will be available in the next release of my IP.
It is not fully related to some users' comments this time, but it is directly related to the simulator's recent changes. Initially, the filler walls in external mesh weren't cut properly. Luckily that this issue was quickly fixed after I pinpointed the buildings with such issues. In addition, while testing this build, I found out that the landscape was not cut the intended way in DRH. With all of these, I cannot keep the links at the main meeting point where people just download the buildings, face several errors, and post about them almost every day.

Note: Older versions of buildings (including mods and discontinued places) will not have these indicators added. MelvinMan10 (talk) 13:44, 26 October 2024 (CDT)
By keeping my IP isolated here, people would have more time to read what I said before deciding whether to download or not, which should lessen any possible error reports.

<small>TL;DR: The recent developments has broken several buildings, so only either RC4 or RC5 should be used to run my buildings for the time being.</small>

Reasons why I moved the links here[edit source]

It is not fully related to some users' comments this time, but it is directly related to the simulator's recent changes. Initially, the filler walls in external mesh weren't cut properly. Luckily that this issue was quickly fixed after I pinpointed the buildings with such issues. In addition, while testing this build, I found out that the landscape was not cut the intended way in DRH. With all of these, I cannot keep the links at the main meeting point where people just download the buildings, face several errors, and post about them almost every day.
