Quick note related to the external floor indicators
As the landscape cutting issue has been fixed, my buildings should run fine on the September 24, 2025 build. However, if anything breaks unexpectedly, you might wish to revert to either RC4 or RC5.
There are still some significant buildings (fully created by me) that do not have external floor indicators on at least one floor (apart from any service/freight elevator), so <u>let me share the reason why</u>:

27 October 2024 - Notes for the future
The future of this IP
Because I may unexpectedly update an older building, my buildings (including building-specific scripts) will no longer have the most recent month and year of revision in their filenames. (However, the format <span style="color:green;">"Building Name (Address).bld"</span> is still used for some places in Tranquility City.) The only things with a year label would be commonly used scripts such as "Deco2023" and "AutomaticDoor2013."
I deeply apologize to announce that it will be a very long time before the next release of this IP comes. There are some reasons behind this.
# Whenever I browse to the forum thread (including the former and current ones), I would see "error reports" (whether about missing textures or large buildings stalling/crashing on lower-end computers) and "requests to add or change files (such as in GitHub)" more than "compliments about my buildings."
#* It's fine if users who like my buildings prefer enjoying them silently, but seeing error or requests almost every day making me feel really like a bot or an AI who needs to work perfectly every time.
#*I am a real person, not a robot or an AI who can always follow every single comment. Hence, my IP's releases cannot always be perfect.
# Most important: I would like to wait for many years until computers get more advanced before continuing on Spacetime Plaza (more specifically, the hotel zone in the northwestern side of the complex).
#* Let's say that if I manage to complete this complex in June 2027, other users may still not have enough time and money to upgrade their computers by then.
# Other important factor: I do not want people I know in real life to know about "this hobby" at all, as doing so may cause them to "exploit my skills" for either higher studies (anywhere in the world) or any kind of job (whether paid or not). Only when I reach my early sixties (or late seventies) in the far future can those people know that.
#* To save time and improve realism, it's better to use SketchUp or a similar program for such thing.
#* I always consider Skyscraper Simulator as a game, not a professional simulation. Even if there is a "graphical building designer" officially created by eventhorizon in the future, SketchUp will still do better for real life jobs.
#* With all of this, I need to implement an isolated environment (with a desktop computer^, optionally with a dedicated graphic card) before my dream of Spacetime Plaza can come true.
#* I still spend time well for important matters in real life, while allocating some days when I can stay alone in my "headquarter" to work on my buildings.
#From #3 above, let's say that when I am sitting idle listening to music, surfing the Internet, or reading a book, my phone would be very silent as if its battery were completely empty. However, when I start working on any building of mine, I would receive a call or a message at that very moment.
#* When this happens, I must switch to "career mode" immediately without talking about this "strange hobby" at all, as people IRL who know this might think that I am crazy.
<small>^TBH, I don't want to buy a new "gaming laptop" just to work on my buildings, and I do not want to run the simulator on a "regular laptop" anymore, as doing so may shorten its life and cause me to lose some important data.</small>

Therefore, please kindly back up the building files on your end before installing any new update, just in case anything goes wrong. Additionally, because some of my buildings are included as a part of eventhorizon's city test, if that test does not load due to my change, you can either:
I would regularly pack up and make a new release at the forum, but the changelog may not be fully accurate as I cannot keep track of every single change. However, please do not always request me to update GitHub every time, as this is very annoying. Also, please do not request me to "add certain content" to my IP's packages immediately after posting a new release. Please patiently wait for the next one before I can fulfill your wish.
*Rename my buildings to match with the name stated in the "City.bld" file, or
*Privately modify your copy of the said file, changing the loaded buildings' names in the code to match with mine.

As the landscape cutting issue has been fixed, my buildings should run fine on the September 24, 2025 build. However, if anything breaks unexpectedly, you might wish to revert to either RC4 or RC5.

Installation instructions:

  1. Open the downloaded file in your preferred program, then open the folder with the same name as the archive.
  2. If done correctly, you should see the "buildings", "data", and other script folders.
  3. Select ALL listed folders inside and copy them to your Skyscraper root folder, replacing all files when prompted.

Note to everybody:

  1. Buildings that may resemble real-life places were created only because they are my favorites.
    1. Other people also made such creations for the same reasons.
    2. However, if you really want me to delete a building, please give me a very nice reason, as well as an absolute proof of your relations to the real place.
  2. Please (in)directly credit me if you want to take photos/videos of my buildings.
  3. Do not simply steal my screenshots regardless of their details. It is simple to press F11 to take one of your own.
    1. I sincerely apologize for removing certain screenshots some time after having released the related updates.
  4. Please kindly read the included "Copyright and Credits" before altering any building or content included.
    1. I would exercise a fair use (no copyright violation intended) for files created by no longer active users.

The future of this IP[edit source]

I deeply apologize to announce that it will be a very long time before the next release of this IP comes. There are some reasons behind this.

  1. Whenever I browse to the forum thread (including the former and current ones), I would see "error reports" (whether about missing textures or large buildings stalling/crashing on lower-end computers) and "requests to add or change files (such as in GitHub)" more than "compliments about my buildings."
    • It's fine if users who like my buildings prefer enjoying them silently, but seeing error or requests almost every day making me feel really like a bot or an AI who needs to work perfectly every time.
    • I am a real person, not a robot or an AI who can always follow every single comment. Hence, my IP's releases cannot always be perfect.
  2. Most important: I would like to wait for many years until computers get more advanced before continuing on Spacetime Plaza (more specifically, the hotel zone in the northwestern side of the complex).
    • Let's say that if I manage to complete this complex in June 2027, other users may still not have enough time and money to upgrade their computers by then.
  3. Other important factor: I do not want people I know in real life to know about "this hobby" at all, as doing so may cause them to "exploit my skills" for either higher studies (anywhere in the world) or any kind of job (whether paid or not). Only when I reach my early sixties (or late seventies) in the far future can those people know that.
    • To save time and improve realism, it's better to use SketchUp or a similar program for such thing.
    • I always consider Skyscraper Simulator as a game, not a professional simulation. Even if there is a "graphical building designer" officially created by eventhorizon in the future, SketchUp will still do better for real life jobs.
    • With all of this, I need to implement an isolated environment (with a desktop computer^, optionally with a dedicated graphic card) before my dream of Spacetime Plaza can come true.
    • I still spend time well for important matters in real life, while allocating some days when I can stay alone in my "headquarter" to work on my buildings.
  4. From #3 above, let's say that when I am sitting idle listening to music, surfing the Internet, or reading a book, my phone would be very silent as if its battery were completely empty. However, when I start working on any building of mine, I would receive a call or a message at that very moment.
    • When this happens, I must switch to "career mode" immediately without talking about this "strange hobby" at all, as people IRL who know this might think that I am crazy.

^TBH, I don't want to buy a new "gaming laptop" just to work on my buildings, and I do not want to run the simulator on a "regular laptop" anymore, as doing so may shorten its life and cause me to lose some important data.

I would regularly pack up and make a new release at the forum, but the changelog may not be fully accurate as I cannot keep track of every single change.
