The data folder in Skyscraper Simulator includes every texture, sounds, fonts, etc. Those files are everything that makes the buildings be like they are. The default built-in Skyscrapersim data are known as SVN data, while other third-party data can be downloaded on Integration Projects or data packs.

If you do not have the required data for any buildings:

  • Textures: The corresponding part of the building will use the "default.png" file instead.
  • Sounds: The missing sound(s) will not play at all.
  • Fonts: The textures that use any missing font(s) will not be created at all.

Textures[edit | edit source]

These are files of .png, .jpg, .gif, and other kinds that make up nearly the entirety of all data at Skyscraper. They can range from poorly made elevator fixtures to high quality windows or floor textures for example. In Skyscraper they are loaded on a building at the <Textures> section.

Sounds[edit | edit source]

Sounds are mostly used for elevators since the game doesn't have any music beside the Main Page Music. They are used for buttons, doors opening and closing, and more.

Fonts[edit | edit source]

Fonts are used on buttons, signs, and elevator indicators to show floors. They have their own folder inside data and are stored in .ttf files.
